So, you’ve written your own piece, and you want a second opinion. Maybe, you’d like a professional writer to help you with the structure and organization of the writing, or with word choice? Perhaps, your sentences aren’t communicating as clearly as you’d like, and your tone-of-voice is a bit off? Or, you suspect the piece is too wordy, that you’re taking too long to make your points?

Whatever your concern, please, don’t worry. I can help you with your revision.

HOW?

First, we have a good conversation, while looking at what you’ve written thus far. You tell me about your objectives and the tone and character or emotion you want to evoke in the writing. I get a feel for how you communicate during our consultation.

Second, I get to the work of analyzing your piece, looking at your thesis statement, overall organization, paragraphing and topic sentences, sentence structure and length, word choices, transitions, descriptive copy, rhythm and tone. I’ll especially take note of those unique elements that carry your personal or corporate brand.

Third, I make recommendations. These may be written into the margin as notes or highlighted in your document. For the sake of legibility, I may need to retype and format your item. I’ll do whatever it takes to clearly indicate to you the changes your need to make to improve your piece.

Finally, I send you the rough draft and the final version.
